Toronto Blizzard Announce League 1 Ontario Entrance

Toronto, ON (December 19th, 2016) – The Toronto Blizzard are pleased to announce that we have been officially accepted into competitive play within League 1 Ontario for the 2017 season. Our successful application will see us launch our Women’s program first with the start of league play for this upcoming season followed by plans to also add a men’s program for 2018.

It was a cold day back in 1979 for opening day when the Toronto Blizzard took the field for their first inaugural home game. In fact, the city had been frozen by a blizzard. The events have just repeated themselves as a blizzard recently hit Toronto with the announcement of the Toronto Blizzard coming back to life once again. Like a phoenix rising up from the ashes of old to take its place once again in prominence in the form of the new Toronto Blizzard  partnered with the Toronto Azzuri.

First Day Meet & Greet with your Coach & Team

Monday May 16th

The following groups will be meeting on Monday May 16th.  You’ll be receiving uniforms, balls and parking passes.  A practice after the meet & greet is scheduled so please come dressed in your shorts and soccer shoes.

Important note: These age groups DO NOT COME the fields on Wednesday May 18, 2016. The next time you come to the fields is Wednesday May 25, 2016 for practice and Thursday May 26, 2016 for Game at your scheduled time. Check our online calendar for updates.

Dedicate/Adopt a Tree on the Boulevard

We will be beautifying the entrance to the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village which will involve the planting of trees along the roadway up to the clubhouse and fields.  The Toronto Azzurri Soccer Club and the PRO Action for Kicks Program are introducting the Dedicate/Adopt-A-Tree program.  With your donation, you will be able to dedicate a tree to a loved one.  Each tree will have a plaque and for your tree, you will be able to list the name(s) of the people you would like to dedicate or adopt the tree to.  Tax recipts will be issues in the name of the donor.
