TASC forKICKS & Arts – 2018 Community Lecture Series

This year, Sargent Steven Hicks and the TASC forKicks & Arts group will be presenting the Community Lecture Series.  These events are monthly presentations and talks by leaders, sports athletes and influencers in the community. They will be held at the Toronto Azzurri Sports Village activity room. 

The goal of these events is to improve your physical and social well being and make the community a better place to live. 

The lectures are free and space is limited so reserve your spot today.   

Safety/Cyber Security Lecture – Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

The first lecture in the series will be a town hall on how to stay safe and protect yourself and your kids when you’re online.  Discussions will include how to deal with cyberbullying and surfing the social networks.  Learn how hackers use phishing and spoofing techniques to steal your personal data and identity and how you can stay one step ahead of these cyber attacks.  Interested in this lecture?… Sign up here

Toronto Blizzard’s Diamond Simpson Selected for the League 1 All Star Game

Our Toronto Blizzard’s Diamond Simpson has been chosen to represent us at the L1 All-star game. Diamond is one of our senior players & captain of the Toronto Blizzard League 1 team. 
 
Sarah Owusu will represent us in the Ontario Canada Games. Mikayla Dayes & Karley Hellstrom were also chosen but not included due to injuries.
 
The Toronto Blizzard would like to invite everyone to come out and support some of Ontario’s best players who will be taking part in an All Star Game that features more than a dozen international level players.  Post game, all the kids in the stands will be invited onto the pitch to take photos and get autographs from the All Stars. Toronto FC is also bringing its KickZone attraction, which is always popular with kids.

The Toronto Blizzard in the Ontario Cup Finals

Congratulations to the Toronto Blizzard U21 team for a great game and making the Ontario Cup finals vs. Oshawa, by beating the 2016 Ontario Cup Champions in St. Catharine’s.

Toronto Azzurri Induction Gala

The Toronto Azzurri is pleased to announce that they are presenting their first Annual Induction Gala.  This event replaces our Spring Splash dance that previously took place every April.  Yes, there will still be the usual great meal with entertainment and dancing, but this year there will be a ceremony to induct individuals into the Toronto Azzurri Wall of Fame. The Wall of Fame will be located in a section of the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village and will honor contributors to the Toronto Azzurri organization and the sport of soccer.  Categories for induction will include Players, Coaches and Builders/Influencers.

Proceeds go to sport and art programs for children at the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village. Reserve your ticket today by contacting the Toronto Azzurri office.

Toronto Blizzard Announce League 1 Ontario Entrance

Toronto, ON (December 19th, 2016) – The Toronto Blizzard are pleased to announce that we have been officially accepted into competitive play within League 1 Ontario for the 2017 season. Our successful application will see us launch our Women’s program first with the start of league play for this upcoming season followed by plans to also add a men’s program for 2018.

It was a cold day back in 1979 for opening day when the Toronto Blizzard took the field for their first inaugural home game. In fact, the city had been frozen by a blizzard. The events have just repeated themselves as a blizzard recently hit Toronto with the announcement of the Toronto Blizzard coming back to life once again. Like a phoenix rising up from the ashes of old to take its place once again in prominence in the form of the new Toronto Blizzard  partnered with the Toronto Azzuri.

Toronto Blizzard Women’s Team

Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village is the new home for The Toronto Blizzard Women’s Team

The Toronto Blizzard Women’s Teams run by former Canadian National Coach,  Joe Parolini, will be calling the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village home starting in 2017.  The Toronto Blizzard are pleased to announce the official acceptance into competitive play within League 1 Ontario for the 2017 season. Our successful application will see us launch our Women’s program first with the start of league play for this upcoming season followed by plans to also add a men’s program for 2018. The Toronto Blizzard  will practice and play their home games at our fields. Joe Parolini currently has positioned 4 of his players into the Canadian National Women’s Teams and has most of the team positioned for US Scholarships.
