Toronto Azzurri Offers Online Math Tutoring For Grades 2 to 10

Toronto Azzurri is happy to announce our partnership with BallSmartzz. The BallSmartzz|Math Tutoring program is a group of certified teachers tutoring mathematics for grades 2 to 10 online which mirrors the Ontario Board of Education curriculum.

This service will begin on September 8 th 2015.

In an effort to assist our members in achieving the maximum benefits of this program, we ask you take a few moments to answer a brief survey on what is important to you in a tutoring program.

Dedicate/Adopt a Tree on the Boulevard

We will be beautifying the entrance to the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village which will involve the planting of trees along the roadway up to the clubhouse and fields.  The Toronto Azzurri Soccer Club and the PRO Action for Kicks Program are introducting the Dedicate/Adopt-A-Tree program.  With your donation, you will be able to dedicate a tree to a loved one.  Each tree will have a plaque and for your tree, you will be able to list the name(s) of the people you would like to dedicate or adopt the tree to.  Tax recipts will be issues in the name of the donor.

Regent Park School of Music choir program

Regent Park School of Music conducted their first Choir Practise for children ages 8-11.

Sgt Stephen Hicks of Toronto Police Service 31 Division organized the participation of 35 students out of 4 public Schools in the Jane/Finch catchment area.

The Choir will be practising every Thursday from 4pm-6pm at the Azzurri LIUNA Clubhouse at the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village located at 4995 Keele St.(Keele St. Reservoir just south of Steeles Ave.)

Summer Soccer in Bloom

The Toronto Azzurri Summer soccer House League begins its 15th year with the new Azzurri L.I.U.N.A. Clubhouse in its backdrop.

Under the leadership of GM Peter Kovacs and Mary Severino and with the strong support team of Joanne Lenarduzzi and Les Anning,  2014 is shaping up to be the banner year.  Throughout the 13 weeks culminating with the Azzurri Day Saturday August 16, 2014 Mondays and Wednesdays have been designated for our Summer House League.

Please take some time to come out and meet players, coaches and parents.

The forKICKS Athletics and Education Organization at the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village

forkicksSgt Stephen Hicks from Toronto Police Division 31 and his organization forKICKS Athletics and Education Organization sponsored by ProAction Cops and Kids will be running community programs at the Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village.  to many children from challenged families and allow them to play soccer in organized indoor and outdoor leagues. Through the assistance of “Proaction Cops and Kids”, a Toronto  Police Sponsorship initiative, Sgt. Hicks and his “forKicks” program has annually sponsored up to 100 children in the Toronto Azzurri Summer Development League. The “ProAction Cops and Kids” funds also allows Sgt. Hicks to run other sport programs for “At Risk” kids such as Flag Football, Aussie Rules, Wrestling and Tug ‘o War. Education programs will include anti-bullying, gang reduction, financial literacy, “flashlight Freddy” and nutrition.

ProActionThe Toronto Azzurri S.C. are proud to work closely with the forKICKS Athletics and Education Organization and will continue to offer sport and cultural opportunities in our new Toronto Azzurri Youth Sport Village.
