April Parent Newsletter – April 2, 2021

Friday April 2, 2021

Parents and Guardians participating in our Summer Soccer Programs,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, our staff and volunteers the Toronto Azzurri Soccer Club continues to navigate through the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Today’s announcement by the Ontario government will potentially delay our start to May 17, 2021.

Our provincial government has announced that as of 12:01 a.m. Saturday April 3rd, the entire province of Ontario will be under new lockdown restrictions for the next 28 days.

Following this announcement, Ontario Soccer has notified all soccer clubs and academies, that all in person training will be suspended due to this lockdown.

The TASC had plans to start some on field coaching and player training sessions in April however with this recent mandate we have had to cancel all planned outdoor sessions for the month of April.  Our virtual training, fitness sessions for coaches and players will continue through the month of April.

The TASC Board of Directors will be meeting to discuss the impact of this newly announced lockdown.  For those parents who have registered their children to participate in the 2021 Summer Soccer Season we still are on target to begin May 17, 2021.  For those who have not registered as of today we encourage you to do so.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation during these ever-challenging times.  Please take care!  Be safe!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very safe and Happy Eastertide.
